Growsafe® Standard Course

This course is for agrichemical users working independently (ie with little or no supervision) with responsibility for a single site/property, and may have responsibility for managing or supervising others. Eight Level 3 NZQA credits are available for this course.

Description

Growsafe Standard Course

Once you've completed all course requirements including supplying the required agrichemical records, and received your certificate you will be:

  • trained to apply agrichemicals in a safe, responsible and effective way with minimal adverse impact on human, environmental and animal health
  • aware of the regulatory and market requirements relating to agrichemical use
  • aware of your obligations under the various legislations that impact on the use of agrichemicals in New Zealand.

Prerequisites

The Growsafe Basic certificate (or equivalent knowledge) or previous spraying experience is a prerequisite for this course.  Please call to discuss this if you are unsure.

The Theory certificate is intended for those working in a management or high level administrative role in relation to spray application. This may include those managing or scheduling spray contractors or spraying staff. It is for those making decisions in relation to spraying but who do any spraying themselves (though may have done so in the past). There are Eight Level 3 NZQA credits available for this course.
